about us

What was to become Bugs Northwest started many years ago in Northern California when Dave Mays took a “temporary” job with his father-in-law, a pest control operator, while earning his Wildlife Law Enforcement Degree. He finished his degree, but he never left the pest management industry. In 2000, Dave and Kris Mays relocated to Grants Pass, Oregon, and Bugs Northwest was born.

Since then, Bugs Northwest has served all Southern Oregon’s pest, rodent and wildlife management needs. Additionally, Dave has served his community and his state in various volunteer positions, including as Oregon Pest Control Association President.

We provide full pest, rodent and wildlife management services, exclusion services and sanitation clean up. Pest Management Operators are protectors of health and property. Education is important to us and we work to teach our clients what they can do to prevent damage caused by insects, rodents and wildlife.

We are members of the Oregon Pest Control Association and the National Pest Management Association.

Three tips for finding the right

Pest Management Professional:

1

Always deal with a qualified, licensed and insured pest management company. Check with the Oregon Department of Agriculture to make sure your pest management operator is in good standing.

2

Buy value, not price. Since you are paying for professional knowledge as well as skillful application of pesticides, look for someone whose judgment you can trust.

3

If a guarantee is given, know what it covers, how long it lasts, what you must do to keep it in force, and what kind of continuing control, prevention and management are necessary.
